Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, as well as support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details

Your starting hourly pay rate will be $17.00 to $19.00 depending on your skills and experience.

Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

Average weekly hours for this position are between 8‑12 hours per week.

Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.

Responsibilities You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:

Day‑to‑day engagement:

Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Interact professionally with store staff, management, and customers while reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities.

Holiday support:

Expect additional days and extended hours during peak seasons (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). On certain holidays you may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.

Department resets:

Participate in installations, fixture building, relocating card departments, and resetting sections. Notifications typically occur two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends.

Team collaboration:

Support other merchandisers in the network as needed.

Physical Requirements This physically demanding job requires high energy and urgency. You will be on the selling floor and back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or ladders as required.

Basic Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

Reading, writing, and understanding English.

Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

Operates a digital hand‑held device for documents and information.

Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.

Reliable transportation to travel between assigned stores.
