A LITTLE ABOUT US Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to Harvey Penick, one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived. As a private, family-oriented club that is rich in tradition, we are known for the quality of our membership and unmatched customer service that exceeds expectations. We are located along the banks of the Colorado River with Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge as our backdrop. Spanning over 180 acres of hill country vistas and canyon views in Davenport Ranch, our property is just 10 miles west of downtown Austin.

OUR IDEAL SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT We're looking for someone who can work
part-time
between the following hours:
Monday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8:00 am to 8:30 pm
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 8:00 am to 7:00 pm
Qualifications:
16+ years old
CPR/AED/First Aid certifications
OR
ability to obtain them within 60 days of hire
Professional experience with recordkeeping, cash handling, sales, merchandising, or tennis operations
Friendly, approachable, and welcoming demeanor
Customer service mindset with excellent communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Multi-tasking skills
Ability to actively listen to guests and understand their needs
Ability to empathetically, patiently, and professionally address member concerns and resolve problems
Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
Comfort with escalating issues to management when necessary
Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment (phones, printers, computers, etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
The following would be
preferred
but aren't required:
High school degree or equivalent
Country club experience
Professional customer service experience
WHAT WILL YOU DO? As our part-time Sports and Activities Assistant, you'll be responsible for the following:
Staffing our sports center and greeting members as they arrive
Answering questions, addressing concerns, and sharing information about our programs, schedules, and facility policies
Completing new registrations and collecting payments
Providing excellent customer service in person, through email, and over the phone
Promptly completing daily operations tasks
Stringing tennis racquets
Monitoring facility access, cleaning up the area, and ensuring compliance with all rules and policies
Working team members and other departments (hospitality, clubhouse, etc.) to provide comprehensive customer service
