Overview

Kingsway is currently seeking a Campus Porter. The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the corridors, common areas, and medical equipment in a senior living facility. This role is essential to ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents and staff while supporting the overall operations of the housekeeping department. Key Responsibilities

Disinfection of medical equipment, including wheelchairs, lifts, and shower chairs. Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in designated locations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the facilities, including carpet extraction, stripping and waxing floors, and grout care. Dispose of garbage and recycling in a timely and sanitary manner, following facility protocols. Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning windows, to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Monitor supplies and notify supervisors of low stock or equipment issues. Assist with other housekeeping department duties as requested by supervisors. Adhere to environmental services safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. Work collaboratively with department staff to ensure efficient operations during quiet hours and special events. Qualifications: Previous experience in environmental services is preferred but not required. Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow cleaning protocols. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain a positive attitude. Hours: Mon - Fri 5am-1pm
