The Beauty Advisor (BA) is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests by engaging with guests to determine their needs, handling cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The BA supports the leadership team through a focus on performance (service/retail sales and in-store events), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). This role requires a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
*Essential Job Functions* Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store. Provide exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, answering questions, informing guests about promotions, and recommending products/services. Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges; assist with online orders. Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest experience. Book appointments and support the execution of services and in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals. Stay informed about new and existing products/services; know ingredients and benefits to better serve guests. Maintain prompt, regular attendance. People
Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates, guests, and the store. Share benefits of the guest loyalty program with guests when prompted. Collaborate with managers and colleagues to grow the business. Participate in ongoing training to enable professional development and drive sales performance. Process
Know and comply with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards. Adhere to dress code. Drive sales by keeping work areas replenished and testers available. Maintain store standards and cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area. Participate in merchandising resets, planograms, displays, inventories, and shipments using Ulta Beauty systems. Protect company assets with loss prevention best practices and exceptional guest service. Execute other operational tasks as directed. Job Qualifications
Education
High school diploma is preferred Experience
1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred Skills
Passion for guest service and selling Proficient with basic technology (e.g., POS system, Apple devices) Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships Ability to troubleshoot Ability to work independently and as part of a team Special Position Requirements
Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Working Conditions
Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting Continuous lifting up to 25 lbs Occasional handling of various objects during shift Note: If an associate has a disability, the company will engage in an interactive process to determine reasonable accommodations. The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00 per hour. Exact pay depends on factors including education, qualifications, experience, and location.
