The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Performs standard administrative and routine standard operations and duties for the Director of the Prematernal Home. Ability to perform payroll and people-soft approval, supervisory duties of employee, and client issues when Director is unavailable. Performs daily admissions and discharges. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions and other duties as assigned. Position Responsibilities: A: Essential Functions 1. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards 2. Provides general administrative and clerical support, including registering and discharging clients and insuring we have the correct documentation for billing purposes. 3. Approve Kronos, Peoplesoft and lead lean rounding if Director is unavailable 4. Schedules and coordinates meetings, maintains class calendar, prepare staff schedules 5. Receives, screens, and distributes telephone calls, messages, mail and visitors and gives out routine non-confidential information Forwards correspondence/forms for processing according to policies and procedures to appropriate designee(s) B: Essential Functions 1. Collects information needed by supervisor for conferences and reports. 2. Attends and participates in in-service educational programs, staff meetings, and any other meeting as required, to provide for position retention competency and growth. 3. Composes letters and memoranda from dictation, verbal direction or from knowledge of policy and procedures. 4. Maintains and updates department policies and procedures and guidelines ensuring compliance with all regulatory State and Federal requirements. 5. Reviews and comments on Operational Manual. 6. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Position Qualifications:

Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: High School Diploma 2 to 3 years' experience in similar position in cross cultural setting. Minimum Experience: 2 to 3 years experience in a cross-cultural setting. License, Certification, Registration: Food handlers Card within 90 days of hire. ADL or the ability to obtain one Equipment/Tools: Computer proficiency with various software and database systems, calculator, multi-line phone, fax/copy machine, multiline phone Specialized Knowledge and Skills: English speaking with effective communication in written as well as verbal directions and reports.
