Save Job

Position Overview Are you detail-oriented and customer-focused? Do you enjoy engaging with people? Do you enjoy helping others? If you answered yes to these questions, working for a State Farm independent contractor agent (aka “agent owner”) may be the career for you! State Farm agents market only State Farm insurance and financial service products, based in the confidence that State Farm is the largest, and often highest-rated insurance company in the country.

Chuck McFarland’s State Farm is located in Seattle, in the Queen Anne neighborhood. This full‑time team member role will be a hybrid role, with a combination of in‑office and remote work. Team member should be licensed for P&C (property and casualty) upon hire, and will also be required to be licensed for L&D (life and disability) within 90 days of start date.

You will build and develop customer relationships within the community to promote State Farm products, including auto, home, and life insurance. This position will allow you to experience working in an agent’s office and, if you have a desire to own and operate your own business, this opportunity will give you a chance to explore becoming a State Farm agent yourself. Though this position is largely focused on service, our agency approach includes believing in an almost complete overlap of customer service and sales, as we help identify risks in people’s lives and assist them in addressing those risks. Successful team members are able to pivot between opportunities for the customer, keeping the customers’ needs in mind at all times.
