The
Banquets Bar Porter
at Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago supports bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, clean, and operating efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential to maintaining high-quality service and smooth workflow. Associates should be detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about hospitality. Evening shifts and weekend availability are required.
Responsibilities
Bar Setup:
Set up and stock the bar area with ice, glassware, paper supplies, condiments, and tools according to setup guidelines.
Stocking:
Maintain inventory levels throughout the shift, including restocking beverages, garnishes, and paper goods as needed.
Cleanliness:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, bar unit, tables, tools, and surrounding areas.
Glassware & Bussing:
Remove soiled wares from bar tops and tables promptly and ensure clean glassware is readily available.
Communication:
Check in with supervisor before leaving at the end of each shift to ensure all duties are complete.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety, sanitation, and security procedures. Report accidents or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Guest Interaction:
Welcome guests warmly and professionally. Anticipate and respond to guest needs in a friendly and efficient manner.
Team Support:
Work cooperatively with bartenders, servers, bussers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
Appearance Standards:
Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and uniform at all times.
Company Standards:
Protect company assets, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and follow all policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements
Stand, walk, or move for an entire shift.
Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs without assistance.
Bend, twist, reach, and work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.
Additional Duties
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support overall Banquets operation.
