Who you are: Porters are responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and restaurant by washing pots and pans, keeping the kitchen and dining room areas clean, and ensuring adherence to proper sanitation standards. Porters are required to handle multiple daily responsibilities, display an ability and willingness to learn and take direction, and work in a team environment.
What you’ll do:
As a Kitchen Porter, you play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
Your responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as cleaning work surfaces, floors, and storage areas.
You’ll assist in basic food preparation tasks, handle waste disposal, and ensure that the kitchen meets hygiene and safety standards.
What we need from you:
At least 1 year experience in a Porter role in a full-service restaurant
Must have current Food Handler and TABC permits
Must be flexible with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
Must have reliable transportation to/from work
