Job Overview
As a Senior Specialist in Standby Letter of Credit Operations, you will provide expert consultation and guidance regarding standby letter of credit services to GTSS staff, clients, and business partners. Your role will encompass various duties related to the processing of transactions to support the bank's standby letter of credit portfolio, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. This includes issuing, amending, advising, confirming, and releasing standby letters of credit in accordance with our organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Structure Standby Letter of Credit terms and text to effectively meet the needs of specific client transactions.
Draft complex Standby Letters of Credit, including Syndicated Letters of Credit and Direct-Pay Letters of Credit for Industrial Revenue Bonds, ensuring all regulatory compliance and credit approvals are secured prior to issuance or release.
Examine documents for payment under Standby Letters of Credit to ensure compliance with their terms.
Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers, clients, beneficiaries, and internal/external counsel to structure and finalize intricate Standby Letters of Credit.
Advise management on developments that may impact the department’s operations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience in standby letter of credit operations.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
In-depth knowledge of complex Standby Letters of Credit.
At least six years of exposure to Standby Letters of Credit.
Thorough understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, and products relevant to the business unit.
Ability to analyze business needs, including scheduling meetings and collaborating with business line leaders.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop test schedules and review plans.
Excellent analytical and forecasting abilities.
Proficient in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively as part of a project team.

The salary range for this role is $81,515.00 - $95,900.00, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive programs and retirement contributions.
