Primary Function of Position
This position is a scientific resource to both internal and external stakeholders focused on developing deeper, more meaningful scientific relationships between Intuitive and the surgeons, healthcare providers, researchers, and surgical societies that we serve. The MSL role works cross-collaboratively within the organization to drive alignment on research priorities, expand the understanding of the scientific literature, and help align external customers with appropriate internal and external research opportunities. Essential Duties
Serve as subject matter expert on Intuitive technologies and their application in multiple clinical specialties, coordinating clinical research projects and initiatives and working cross-functionally with involved stakeholders. Engage with and develop professional scientific relationships with surgeons, administrators, payers, policymakers, healthcare institutions, researchers, and societies to be a credible partner in scientific exchange and evidence generation supported by Intuitive technologies. Work with Intuitive Clinical Affairs, Global Access Value & Economics (GAVE), Medical Affairs, Digital, Clinical Strategy, and Engineering teams in a cross-functional manner regarding clinical research. Serve as a scientific consultant within the organization to support internal colleagues through evaluating and consulting on the scientific literature, related educational materials, and triaging customer inquiries related to research. Support clinical evidence strategy across research, product development, and product management. Provide voice of customer feedback from the field to help inform business decisions and research strategy. Connect our key customers’ educational and research needs with available Intuitive resources aligned with Intuitive’s strategy
