The Integrated Marketing team serves as the strategic conductor responsible for leading strategy, governance, and performance across this journey, aligning programs, campaigns, and audiences to SAP’s growth priorities.
As part of this team, the Marketing Strategy & Planning function leads the annual integrated planning process, aligns cross‑functional stakeholders around business priorities, and defines the integrated marketing plan that powers program and channel execution globally.
The Project Management Office (PMO) serves as the backbone for cross‑functional delivery, aligning project objectives with strategic goals, and ensuring effective project execution. The PMO partners closely with Global Marketing leadership to translate strategy into action, ensuring campaigns and programs are prioritized, resourced, executed, and measured with rigor and transparency.
THE ROLE The Vice President of Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for establishing, leading, and evolving an enterprise‑class PMO that enables predictable delivery of campaigns, programs and initiatives while balancing agility and governance. This role owns the alignment of cross‑functional stakeholders, ensures coherence in the global marketing plan, and connects in‑market activation to measurable marketing outcomes.
This role leads a 10 member PMO team, overseeing project managers, partnering with portfolio analysts, marketing operations, and drives deliverables across multiple initiatives, geographies, and workstreams. They manage project processes, methodologies, and tools requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES PMO Strategy & Governance
Define and own the Marketing PMO strategy, operating model, and governance framework
Establish portfolio management standards, methodologies, and tools requirements aligned to business strategy
Drive global marketing wide prioritization, intake, and execution decisions in partnership with global marketing leadership team
Ensure consistent execution discipline while enabling flexibility where appropriate
Portfolio & Program Leadership
Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of campaigns, programs and initiatives
Lead annual Integrated Marketing planning in close partnership with Ops to drive the business, and Cross‑functional activation for Marketing – supporting demand programs, campaigns, and foundational marketing including omnichannel, content strategy, regional execution, etc.
Develop and manage project schedules, workbacks, and ensure deadlines are met across functional teams
Monitor project health, risks, and interdependencies; proactively resolve issues
Ensure programs deliver measurable business outcomes aligned to strategic objectives
Risk, compliance and dependency inputs across functions
Documented execution delivery plans with clear sequencing
Team Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing PMO team (10 members)
Establish clear roles, expectations, and career development paths
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
Build PMO capability across the organization through coaching and enablement
Process, Tools & Continuous Improvement
Develop requirements and optimize PMO tools and systems
Standardize best practices across planning, execution, risk, and reporting
Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and performance analysis
Champion change management and adoption of PMO processes
Standardize PMO playbooks, templates and methodologies

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
10 years of experience in program, portfolio, or project management marketing leadership roles
Proven experience leading a PMO or enterprise‑scale portfolio for a marketing organization
Demonstrated success managing complex, cross‑functional initiatives
Experience leading and developing teams of 10 professionals
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at senior levels
