Overview
We\'re looking for an experienced architect who bridges the gap between business vision and technical reality. You\'ll be the trusted advisor who helps customers navigate complex technology decisions, design scalable solutions, and guide their digital transformation journey. Whether shaping enterprise-wide strategies or diving into solution-level details, you understand that great architecture serves both business goals and technical excellence. We are now looking for a
Senior Enterprise & Solution Architect
to join our team. Primarily, we are seeking an architect to work at one of our office locations: Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, Lahti, Jyväskylä, Kuopio, or Oulu. In this role, you\'ll work closely with stakeholders across the customer organization—translating technical concepts for business leaders while providing clear direction to development teams. You\'ll assess landscape, design future-state architectures, and create pragmatic roadmaps that help customers achieve their goals. Responsibilities
Design and guide
architectural solutions for complex digitalization programs and projects Lead architectural work
in multi-vendor and international environments, ensuring alignment across teams Create and communicate
architectural models, documentation, and strategic roadmaps Consult and advise
on technology choices, feasibility, and technical assessments Bridge business and technology
by making complex technical matters understandable for all stakeholders Architect AI-enabled solutions
that bring measurable business value while ensuring scalability, security, and ethical considerations Who you are
We know that for such an experienced senior role, defining requirements precisely is challenging – we\'ve done our best to paint a picture of the role, the required experience, and expertise. If the description doesn\'t match you perfectly, but you feel you have something to offer in this role, we warmly encourage you to apply and tell us about your own thoughts and perspectives. You\'re a pragmatic technologist with strategic thinking skills. You can comprehend complex problems quickly, break them into manageable pieces, and propose solutions that make sense both technically and commercially. You\'re comfortable working at different altitudes—from enterprise principles to integration patterns. You understand how these pieces fit together and when each perspective matters, even if you\'re not hands-on in every layer. You’re interested in artificial intelligence, and you can see beyond the hype to practical applications—designing ecosystems where AI creates real value by addressing actual business problems, not AI for AI\'s sake. You understand how to integrate AI capabilities thoughtfully into existing architectures, considering data flows, model deployment, governance, and observability, while staying current with developments from language models and generative AI to ML operations and agentic systems. Whether your AI experience comes from hands-on implementation, strategic planning, or exploratory projects, we value curiosity and the ability to translate AI possibilities into architectures that work in production environments. You bring solid experience in:
Software and IT services (typically 15+ years with progressive responsibility) Architecture roles where you\'ve designed and delivered complex IT systems Customer-facing consulting where communication and stakeholder management were key You\'re comfortable with architectural thinking using frameworks and approaches such as Enterprise Architecture Practices (experience with TOGAF, ArchiMate, or similar), Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, or equivalent), modeling and visualization tools (UML, C4, or whatever fits the need) and solution patterns for integration, microservices, and distributed systems What sets you apart:
Communication skills:
You can discuss architecture with CTOs and roles that are not technical. You are fluent in both Finnish and English language. Business understanding:
You are able to look at technology from a business point of view and present solutions with business impact. Pragmatism:
You balance idealism with reality, making recommendations that can realistically be implemented Curiosity:
You keep up with technology trends through open ecosystems, communities, and continuous learning Versatility:
You\'ve worked across different industries and understand that context shapes solutions AI awareness:
You follow AI developments and think about how to architect solutions that leverage AI responsibly and effectively Our work spans public sector, telecommunications, retail, critical infrastructure, healthcare, manufacturing, defense, security, transportation, and finance. Our customer base is international. Experience in any of these sectors is valuable, but more important is your ability to understand new domains quickly. Why this role matters
Technology decisions made today shape possibilities for years to come. As an architect, you\'ll have a real influence on our customers\’ digital futures. You\'ll work on meaningful problems—from public services that affect citizens\' lives to business-critical systems that need to be both innovative and reliable. This is an exciting time to be an architect. AI is opening up new possibilities, but it also requires thoughtful integration, governance, and a clear view of where it adds value. You\'ll help organizations navigate these opportunities while maintaining security, reliability, and trust. You\'ll join a team of experienced professionals who value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. We invest in our people through training, certifications, and hands-on experience with emerging technologies. Interested?
We\'d love to hear about your architectural journey and the problems you\'ve solved. Tell us about a project where your architectural decisions made a real difference—we\'re more interested in your thinking process than your tech stack. And if you\'ve worked with AI in any capacity, we\'d love to hear how you approached it. Our recruitment consists of two rounds of interviews where you will meet our team and learn more about working at Solita. You will be given the opportunity to show your skills and ask us questions. The purpose is to get to know each other better. Any thoughts or questions, please reach out to Talent Acquisition Business Partner Julia Oksa (julia.oksa@solita.f). As a key technology, data, and design partner, Solita’s business is built on trust and responsibility. For this reason, the selected candidate’s identity and employment background will be verified. These checks are carried out in accordance with and within the limits of the Act on the Protection of Privacy in Working Life. In addition, some of our customers may carry out a separate security clearance vetting made by the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service, for example in case you start working for a customer operating in critical infrastructure sector.
