Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate our growing U.S. Federal Civilian business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. As a solutions architect on the U.S. Federal Civilian team you will help civilian agencies meet their mission goals through using cloud. As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of GenAI and Amazon’s utility computing web services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, AWS Redshift, AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, AWS SageMaker and AWS CloudFront) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrator and solution providers. Your broad responsibilities will include: Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs and developing deep expertise in AWS technologies Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services You will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our customers while working with a world class sales and business development team. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community and gain opportunities to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry. Key Responsibilities

Design, implement and consult on cloud and on-premises solutions for U.S. Federal Civilian customers Own technical engagements and drive successful implementation projects Develop deep expertise in AWS services and secure application design Provide technical leadership, mentorship and knowledge sharing with peers and customers Essential Qualifications

8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics 3+ years of design, implementation or consulting experience with applications and infrastructures 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or internet industries U.S. citizenship requirement Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients Experience with large group presentations and whiteboard exercises Why AWS

Base salary range: $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 annually (USA, VA, Arlington). Package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units, plus comprehensive health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, parental leave and more.
