Director of Robotics Engineering
to lead its growing technical teams. This leader will own the strategy, architecture, and execution of next‑generation robotic platforms, guiding multidisciplinary engineering efforts from concept to deployment. This is a high-impact role for someone who excels at both technical depth and organizational leadership. Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class robotics engineering team spanning software, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines. Own the robotics software and systems roadmap, ensuring alignment with company vision and customer needs. Drive the development of advanced robotic systems, including perception, motion planning, manipulation, embedded systems, and autonomy. Oversee hands-on architecture and code reviews, especially in
C++
for real-time, high-performance robotic applications. Establish engineering best practices, safety standards, and robust development processes. Partner with Product, Operations, and R&D to deliver reliable, production-ready robotics solutions. Manage program timelines, budgets, resourcing, and strategic vendor relationships. Foster a culture of engineering rigor, creativity, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications
10+ years
in robotics engineering, autonomous systems, or complex hardware–software products. 5+ years
leading engineering teams or technical organizations. Strong software engineering background with hands-on expertise in C++
(required). Proven experience delivering complex robotic systems involving perception, controls, manipulation, or navigation. Deep understanding of real-time systems, embedded architectures, and hardware–software integration. Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities. U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required
(due to project and compliance requirements). Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
