The role focuses on precision cutting, welding, and fitting to create complex steel structures that meet standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
Lay out, position, align, and fit fabricated parts according to blueprints and layout specifications.
Safely operate overhead cranes and use cutting and heating torches as trained.
Perform complex heat corrections and check camber and sweep tolerances of beams and steel shapes; make necessary corrections while adhering to codes and specifications.
Maintain quality procedures to ensure finished products meet recognized standards and customer expectations.
Set up complex jigs or assemblies; identify and correct potential hazards; interpret complex documents.
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the work area.
Qualifications
Superior level layout and math skills for accurate positioning and alignment.
Complete understanding of pre-heat functions and ability to set up and use a track torch.
Must pass all tack tests for F.A.C.W. (Flux Core) welding.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicate effectively with co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures and work in compliance with site requirements.
