Multimedia Specialist
to support communications, event planning & multimedia production activities for an advanced research & testing environment focused on intelligent transportation systems & emerging mobility technologies. This role is located in
McLean, VA
through
100% full onsite presence . The
Multimedia Specialist
will play a key role in creating engaging digital content, coordinating high-visibility events, & managing outreach initiatives that showcase cutting-edge research & innovation.
Responsibilities of the Multimedia Specialist include:
Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person conferences and events, including schedules, logistics, presentations, procurement, budgets, checklists, and stakeholder communications
Create, design, and edit multimedia content including social media, newsletters, graphics, videos, and presentations aligned with branding standards and project goals
Develop concise, engaging summaries of technical research for diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Manage communications, outreach, publications, and stakeholder engagement, identifying opportunities to enhance messaging and engagement effectiveness
Perform photo and video production, including conceptualization, scripting, filming, editing, and delivering final multimedia products using Adobe Creative Suite and AV tools
Qualifications of the Multimedia Specialist include:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Multimedia, English, Event Planning, or related field
5+ years of experience in multimedia, digital content, or event coordination
4+ years of event planning, logistics, digital marketing, or social media strategy experience
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Audition, InDesign) and multimedia production workflows
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex subjects into clear and compelling content
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint) and familiarity with digital marketing tools
Active Public Trust clearance
Compensation for the Multimedia Specialist includes:
Salary:$85,000-$100,000 **depending on experience**
