This is a full-time, in person position. Schedule will vary and some evenings and weekends will be required.
Job Summary The Office of Student Experience is seeking an Event Coordinator to build and grow our dynamic department. The role requires event coordination experience, clear communication, collaboration, and partnership. The Event Coordinator will develop and execute campus events of varying sizes and complexities. The position is physically demanding requiring lifting, walking, and setting up events.
Responsibilities Coordinate events of various sizes, including determining event goals, budgeting, decor, vendor coordination, registration, marketing, staffing, set/strike, etc. Work within budget and fiscal guidelines. Interface with students and families via email, in person, and phone. Coordinate and staff tabling events to represent the department. Maintain event records and post-event reporting documents. Juggle multiple events concurrently. Develop and maintain campus partner and vendor relationships. Stay organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Maintain proactive and timely communication with all event stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications 1 year higher education can be substituted for 1 year directly related work experience.
Live Event / Trade Show Planner levels I to VII require bachelor’s degree plus 2-14 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences Experience with social media content creation and editing. Experience in Asana/Monday, Canva/Adobe. Demonstrated event coordination experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in a collaborative, high-paced environment.
Additional Information This position may require completion of a criminal background check and/or drug screen.
