Landscaping by J. Michael is looking for a Landscape Designer/Estimator to join our Marshfield office.
The ideal candidate is a resourceful self-starter who is not only a team player, but also capable of working independently; well versed in New England plant identification and care; has a strong understanding of construction materials and processes using popular hardscaping products. Has a proven track record for selling and closing jobs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Meet with clients to understand their needs and requirements
Develop and manage bidding schedules, pre-meetings, and estimation processes to secure projects profitably and efficiently
Maintain positive business relationships with new and existing clients
Follow up on current, future, and past bids to secure work and maintain company backlog
Assist and manage daily crew operations as needed; capable of working alongside crews during absences, delays, minor warranty tasks, or at the direction of the General Manager or Operations Manager
Participate in snow operations to ensure year-round employment opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience; 3+ years of recent industry experience
Knowledge of hardscape techniques, plant identification, irrigation installation/service and snow estimating/operations
3-5 years Sales Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Has managed and train workers
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Design software skills using CAD or like software
Valid driver's license
Valid DOT Health Card or the ability to obtain one
