Looking to add a Director of Business Development - Commercial Construction.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market share in commercial construction.
Identify and pursue new project opportunities, clients, and market segments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, owners, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
Lead proposal development, including RFP responses, presentations, and client communications.
Collaborate with estimating, operations, and executive teams to position the company for successful project pursuits.
Monitor regional market trends, competitive activity, and economic conditions to guide strategic decisions.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Support marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate forecasting to leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of business development or sales experience in commercial construction or a related industry.
Established network within the Detroit area construction and real estate community (preferred).
Proven track record of identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities.
Strong understanding of the commercial construction process and industry practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel locally for client meetings and industry events.
