Overview and Duties
Primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
Fosters customer relationships and has explicit understanding of customer requirements
Responsible for the order fulfillment processes including but not limited to:
Enters customer purchase orders (such as steel/material specifications, delivery information, pricing, etc.) into using SAP in a quick and error free manner
Monitors sales activity to ensure business plan and forecast targets are not exceeded
Monitors pricing guidelines for contract and spot business; monitors billing errors to achieve 0% pricing errors
Manages inventory and monitor supply chain to meet customer expectations
Manages work queues to ensure orders are fulfilled as required
Initiates necessary actions required to resolve any obstacles between customers\' requirements and AM/NS ability to satisfy them
Decision maker within established guidelines in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
Maintains open, professional communication with other departments including Sales, Technical Services, Production Planning, and Logistics regarding all aspects of customer requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or Supply Chain Management, or combination of education and related experience
Qualifications
2 to 3 years demonstrated experience in Inside Sales role preferred
Steel industry, manufacturing, or automotive industry experience preferred
Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
SAP or other ERP system experience desired, but not required
Highly energetic and self-starter
Problem resolution and resourceful
Process improvement oriented
Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
