Hybrid Commercial Lines – Small Business Account Manager
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000
As a
Small Business Account Manager
for commercial lines, you are more than just an insurance agent—you are a trusted advocate, educator, and expert communicator for small business clients. Your role is to guide clients through the complexities of commercial insurance, helping them make informed decisions that protect their businesses and align with their unique needs and budget.
Small business owners are often stretched thin and rely on professionals who can translate complex insurance topics into practical, actionable solutions. In this role, you'll serve as their go-to resource—supporting coverage selection, assisting at the time of claims, and ensuring they receive outstanding value and service.
Work Arrangement
Full-time, hybrid position
Competitive compensation range:
$60,000–$80,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
Educate clients on coverage options, assist with claims-related issues, and ensure accurate and timely submission of applications to carriers
Process policy changes, transfers, and new policy creation following established procedures and workflows
Maintain thorough documentation and client records through internal systems
Collect and enter data from various sources to support client servicing
Prepare renewals and ensure the sales team has required materials for client meetings
Identify cross-sell opportunities to enhance coverage for existing clients
Qualifications:
Minimum of
2 years of industry experience
Active
Property & Casualty license in Massachusetts
(or ability to obtain)
Experience with
EPIC
agency management system preferred, but not required
Strong time management and organizational skills
Effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication abilities
Collaborative mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service in a team environment
