Senior Purchasing Agent This temporary assignment on‑site in Torrance will last until approximately July 2026.

Responsibilities

Utilize and maintain corporate purchasing systems and procedures to secure optimal delivery terms, quality, and cost performance. Familiarity with

AS9100

is required.

Administer supplier partnerships and maintain professional relationships to ensure consistent vendor performance.

Execute tasks in alignment with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) policies to ensure compliance with Department of Defense requirements.

Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs.

Negotiate unique subcontracts and purchasing arrangements using knowledge of market factors and internal requirements.

Maintain purchasing records, analyse cost data and produce reports for scheduling, planning and budgeting.

Work closely with purchasing planners and coordinators to manage material demand and supply flow.

Expedite material from suppliers through receiving and inspection, ensuring accurate and timely product and documentation submissions.

Administer new/changed supplier information to protect ISI and customer reputation.

Administer a supplier improvement process with quantitative performance measures for quality and delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Business Operations/Administration, Finance, or Related Field.

Master’s degree in business is a plus.

7+ years of purchasing experience within the aerospace or electronics manufacturing industry.

Strong contract negotiation skills for complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.

Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP/MRP System is a plus.

Certifications from industry associations are a plus (CPM/CPPM).

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

US Citizenship is required.

Pay Range $44.00-$67.00/hour. However, base salary for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
