
Job Title: Drafter - L&H Engineering TeamJob Description Join our dynamic engineering team as a Drafter, where you will play a vital role in creating, completing, and maintaining 3D models, detailed assembly and part drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to support engineering, manufacturing, and estimation activities throughout various project stages. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop 3D CAD models of components and assemblies for quoting and production.
- Create engineering drawing packages to support production activities on the floor.
- Edit and maintain engineering models and drawing packages throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proper revision control.
- Update and maintain drawing BOMs and Material BOMs in Apogee in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Accurately produce simple to complex models, illustrations, and drawings in accordance with company standards from data, sketches, or verbal communication.
- Store and retrieve technical documents within Autodesk Vault and manage the drawing approval and lifecycle process.
- Manage and maintain CAD symbol libraries in Vault, ensuring proper naming conventions and attributes.
- Create bills of material consisting of fittings, hardware, and custom brackets.
- Follow and enforce L&H drawing standards and modeling best practices.
- Effectively manage multiple design projects concurrently and support L&H manufacturing activities as required.
- Maintain high-quality standards and provide accurate data entry.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD 2020 or newer.
- Ability to work independently and manage work schedules with multiple tasks.
- Strong proficiency in 3D modeling, design, and drafting.
- Excellent graphical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio.
- Working knowledge of industry drafting and design standards.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical CAD and hydraulic schematic drawings.
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machine design, and system layouts.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced skills in Autodesk Inventor, including iLogic and iParts for parametric assemblies.
- Knowledge of CNC programming/process and FEA analysis tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of hydraulic fittings, selection, and application.
- Ability to utilize engineering tools for sizing fluid conduits for pressure and flow.
