Optical Associate or Apprentice Optician
to assist patients with all their optical needs. Atlantic Eye, a
multi-specialty ophthalmology practice
with locations in
Eatontown, Holmdel, Little Silver, and Wall Township , is looking for an enthusiastic Optical Sales Associate or Apprentice Optician to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their style and vision needs.
Provide exceptional customer service while educating patients on lens options.
Handle sales transactions and maintain accurate sales records.
Assist patients with their vision plans, explain insurance benefits for eyewear, and accurately process insurance claims and billing for glasses.
Work comfortably with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) systems.
Keep the optical boutique organized, clean, and well-stocked.
Perform basic eyewear adjustments and minor repairs (training provided if needed).
Collaborate with Opticians and Doctors to ensure the best patient experience.
Travel between our Monmouth County locations as needed.
Qualifications
Demonstrates strong communication skills.
Sales experience in optical or retail (preferred, but we’ll train the right candidate).
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.
Shows empathy, compassion, and sensitivity in interactions with patients.
Possess strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
