Maximus is seeking a talented Correspondence Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will research and prepare written responses following CDC procedures and guidelines utilizing provided scripts. We highly value candidates with prior experience in health communication, health education, or a medical background.
Position:
Remote and temporary through August 31, 2026 Work Hours:
Full-time 8-hour shifts between Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST Weekends/Holidays:
Availability for occasional weekend or holiday work may be required Equipment:
You must use a personal computer or laptop (Chromebooks, tablets, and notebooks are not permitted) with one of the following operating systems: Windows 10 or 11, or Mac OS Big Sur (11.0.1+), Catalina (10.15), or Monterey (12.3) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Handle semi-routine assignments with an understanding of when to deviate from established practices. Perform clerical tasks such as document verification, managing inbound/outbound calls, and providing administrative support. Support project and operations management by identifying and responding to departmental needs. Responsibilities and Education: High School Diploma with 1-3 years of relevant experience, or training in a related area. Preferably possess experience in health communication, education, or a medical field. Demonstrate superior written and oral communication skills. Ability to use desktop and database systems effectively. Understanding of public health issues and familiarity with CDC health partners and missions. Customer service experience will be beneficial. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Home Office Requirements: Internet speed of 25mbps or higher required (50 Mbps for shared connections). Minimum upload speed of 5mbps. Wired internet connection via Category 5 or 6 ethernet cable. Have a private, secure work area with an adequate power source. Must currently reside in the Continental United States. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of related experience.
