JOB FUNCTION
:
This position is responsible for providing assistance to account executives in handling and processing of new and renewal commercial lines business.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Coordinate expirations with producer and/or account executive to obtain renewal and/or new business information. Maintain renewal list updates for accounts. Provide in-house customer service to clients as assigned and requested. Assist in marketing new and renewal business, determine premiums, prepare presentation packets and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier. Check new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, language, coverages, signatures, and input transactions to generate billing invoices. Ensure that these items are delivered and/or mailed to client. Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems, and comply with the request and/or refer to the producer/Account executive when necessary. Initiate, screen and prepare endorsement requests for Commercial Lines clients. Always copy Account Executive Prepare and process cancellations and endorsements when required, including invoicing or crediting premium changes. Always copy Account Executive. Prepare Auto ID cards, electronically and hard-copy (if client desires) and send out. Prepare and process all requests for certificates of insurance as required within 24 hours of request. Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items. Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines. Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an orderly, up-to-date manner. Perform special projects at management's request. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience
Minimum of one year of experience in similar position Must be licensed by the Department of Insurance for the state of Texas - General Lines Agency License. Preferred Experience (Optional)
Two years of experience would be preferred Supervisory Experience

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Ability to work in sales environment. Competency Requirements
Excellent customer service skills to include good verbal and written communication. Must be able to communicate face to face with customers. Proven organizational skills with ability to multi-task and follow assigned tasks through completion. Must be able to focus on details and be accurate. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be accustomed to a fast-paced office environment. Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, push, and pull files up to 15 pounds. Must be able to maneuver in an office environment Must be able to see and read from computer screens to communicate with clients Must be able to type on keyboard to compose emails and other communications Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time Must be able to speak to communicate with clients both one on one and on the phone Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation to meet with clients Equipment/Machines/Software
Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Proficiency with Adobe applications and various search engines. Ability to operate office equipment such as copiers, scanners, shredders, fax machines, and other electronic devices. Position Includes Driving
Yes, valid driver's license is required.
