
Vident Asset Management is excited to expand our team with a Portfolio Analyst position. This person would join our team locally in the greater Atlanta area. This position will work closely with our dynamic trading and portfolio management teams both locally and virtually.

What you’ll do: The Portfolio Analyst will support the management of Vident’s Separately Managed Account (SMA) business. Responsibilities include assisting Portfolio Managers, conducting product research, performing portfolio optimizations, reviewing and executing trades, generating reports, analyzing performance, and onboarding new clients.
The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of investment management, portfolio construction, and equity risk management. They will demonstrate an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional results for clients, paired with a keen attention to detail and strong intellectual curiosity.
The position requires close collaboration within the team and across the organization, emphasizing teamwork, adaptability, and proactive communication.
Support the management of client portfolios including account set up, daily reconciliation, model creation and maintenance, portfolio optimization, tax loss harvesting, and portfolio trading.
Enhance and support the product trade workflow and portfolio monitoring functions
Monitor index changes and curate buy lists for corporate actions
Support client requests ranging from proposal generation to client reporting
Perform regular reporting for internal and client use
Perform quarterly billing and AUM reporting
Proactively communicate with clients regarding bond maturities, cash flows, quarterly performance reporting of equity portfolios and other reporting as required
Work with custodians to help with client inquiries and internal reporting as necessary
Assist sales and marketing through development of advisor/client materials and development of new materials
Participate in presentations, conference calls, conferences
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Who you are:
You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
You have 2+ years of experience in the investment management field (preferred)
Interest in pursuing investment related designations and/or FINRA exams such as the CFA, FRM, or the FINRA Series 65 exam
Hard-working and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Motivated by eagerness to learn about new technology and financial techniques
Committed to intellectual integrity, transparency, and openness
Able to prioritize and optimize own workload as a function of unexpected events and existing parallel/serial workflows
Excellent problem solving, communication, and analytical skills
Expert Excel user and strong Microsoft Office skills
Experience with Bloomberg Port and/or Orion preferred
Ability to think independently and creatively approach data analysis and communicate complex ideas clearly
Working knowledge of equity markets, portfolio construction, tax optimization and portfolio risk analytics
Experience with portfolio optimizers and factor risk models
Team player with strong quantitative, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
