Job Summary Public Sector Division seeks Cybersecurity Analysts II to support a 24/7 Cyber Network Defense Operation for Department of Defense networks in Whitehall, Ohio, Ogden, Utah, and O'Fallon, Illinois. Responsibilities include real‑time cyber threat intelligence analysis, correlating actionable security events, performing network traffic analysis using raw packet data, and coordinating resources during incident response.
Clearance & Certifications Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top‑Secret w/ SCI clearance in the future.
Required Certifications:
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or higher), e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or SANS GSEC.
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 CSSP‑A Level Certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GCIA) within 180 days of hire.
Location & Shift
Whitehall, Ohio; Ogden, Utah; or O'Fallon, Illinois.
Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM; 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM; 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Shift assignments based on program requirements; some flexibility may be required.
Qualifications
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or higher).
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 CSSP‑A Level Certification within 180 days.
Strong foundation in networking, packet analysis, OSI model, defense‑in‑depth security principles, and threat detection.
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; equivalent work experience or military service may substitute.
Proven ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
Commitment to continuous learning and self‑improvement in cybersecurity.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and effective communication with cross‑functional teams.
Reliable and flexible to support assigned shifts.
Located within commutable distance or able to self‑relocate to Scott AFB, IL, Columbus, OH, or Ogden, UT.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience analyzing large volumes of logs, network data, and attack artifacts during investigations.
Experience using SIEM/SOAR platforms with behavioral, statistical, and machine learning techniques.
Comprehensive understanding of network threat lifecycle, TTPs, and intrusion sets.
Knowledge of anti‑virus, HIPS/HBSS, IDS/IPS, full packet capture, and network forensics tools.
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and mobile device security.
Strong scripting and programming skills.
