The Opportunity: The Digital Asset Coordinator supports the organization, governance, and quality of Mattel’s digital asset library. This role is responsible for ensuring creative and eCommerce assets are accurately named, tagged, validated, and published within Mattel’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, Tenovos.

This role partners closely with Creative, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure assets are easy to find, compliant with usage standards, and ready for reuse across brands and channels.

What Your Impact Will Be: Asset Organization & Metadata Management

Apply accurate metadata, tagging, and taxonomy standards to digital assets within Tenovos, following Mattel’s internal guidelines and templates.

Ensure assets follow approved naming conventions.

Organize assets into correct folders, collections, and categories to support discoverability and reuse across teams.

Quality Control & Compliance

Conduct quality checks to confirm assets are properly labeled, searchable, and compliant with brand, usage, and security requirements.

Review files for completeness and accuracy, flagging issues such as:

Duplicate or outdated assets

Missing or incorrect metadata

Improper file naming or formatting

Validate that assets meet basic production standards (file type, size, color profile, layer structure) before and after upload, escalating issues as neededli>

Asset Uploads & Maintenance

Support asset uploads and migrations into Tenovos, including staging, security assignment, and post-upload verification.

Assist with asset updates and replacements by documenting changes and reporting updates through established tracking processes.

Archive final assets according to Mattel’s cataloging and retention practices.

Collaboration & Documentation

Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, eCommerce, and Operations partners to validate asset accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain clear documentation of work completed, issues identified, and resolutions during asset uploads or migrations.

Assist in refining taxonomy, naming conventions, and asset governance practices as processes evolve.

Additional Support

Support DAM-related special projects, initiatives, audits, and clean-up efforts as assigned.

Contribute to continuous improvement of asset workflows and operational efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

1–3 years of experience in digital asset management, content operations, or production coordination.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes and standards.

Experience working with DAM systems (Tenovos or similar platforms).

Familiarity with file naming conventions, metadata application, and taxonomy principles.

Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (including Adobe Bridge) and asset production requirements.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting eCommerce or retail content workflows.

Experience video editing.

Experience working in a large brand or multi-brand environment.
