
Our client, a specialized equipment leasing and finance company, has partnered with us to identify a Credit Analyst to support its growing underwriting and portfolio management team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in credit analysis and underwriting within asset-based lending (ABL), equipment leasing, or commercial banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and underwrite credit requests for equipment lease and loan transactions across a range of industries
Perform detailed financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and collateral evaluation
Assess credit risk and prepare written credit memos with clear recommendations
Review borrower financials, including spreads, ratios, trends, and projections
Evaluate transaction structures, guarantor strength, and equipment values
Partner with sales, originations, and portfolio management teams to support deal execution
Monitor existing portfolio performance and assist with renewals, amendments, and risk reviews
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
1-5+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or risk management
Background in equipment leasing, asset-based lending, commercial banking, or middle-market lending strongly preferred
Strong financial statement analysis and cash flow evaluation skills
Ability to clearly communicate credit rationale in written and verbal form
High attention to detail with sound judgment and analytical rigor
Proficiency in Excel and financial spreading tool
