POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for selling national advertisers (clients) on the benefits of cinema as an advertising platform, with a focus on identifying alignment with client KPI’s, cultivating new relationships with clients at all levels, and generating revenue growth.
The Business Development Senior Account Executive will work closely with various internal departments and serve as a liaison to drive business, promote in‑theatre marketing to expand our industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
National CineMedia is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Senior Account Executive in San Francisco or surrounding market to join our dynamic team. The Business Development Senior Account Executive will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships, driving revenue growth, and overseeing strategic initiatives within the realm of advertising and media sales. The territory that this position will cover is San Francisco, Bay Area, Silicon Valley, Seattle and Portland.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the assigned client account list.
Identify business opportunities and demonstrate to clients how Cinema addresses their marketing strategies.
Cultivate and nurture high‑level relationships with key decision makers for assigned client list, advocating for National CineMedia’s services and offerings.
Build and develop relationships with clients and agency contacts through consistent meetings, phone calls, emails and social settings.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, operations, research and finance to create custom plans, compelling research stories and innovative marketing solutions.
Communicate constantly with split partners for seamless selling efforts.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and adapt strategies accordingly.
Keep new and innovative ideas in front of key clients on an on‑going basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in sales, media sales, or related fields.
Strategic thinking coupled with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
Ability to develop strong, long‑lasting relationships with all levels of clients.
Advanced presentation skills (individual, group, executive level, and in‑person, over the phone and in writing).
Thorough understanding of and comfort level with media research and math.
Creative, entrepreneurial thinker with the ability to deliver consultative, solution‑oriented sales approach and develop big ideas based on client marketing objectives.
Ability to manage, handle and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.
Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
Proven track record of successfully managing large accounts, exceeding sales targets, and fostering long‑term client relationships.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.

Work Conditions:
This job operates in an office/home office environment and requires travel to designated area/s. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop, phone, printer, scanner, etc.

Salary Range:
Base Salary of approximately $150,000 – $170,000 annually plus bonus – compensation is commensurate with skills & experience.
