
Gift of Life Marrow Registry is a nonprofit organization committed to curing blood cancer through cellular therapy. Every day, our team works to ensure that a match can be found for any patient in need—anytime, anywhere, for anyone. We register new donors, engage communities, educate the public, and inspire people to save lives.
Position Summary The Recruitment Specialist plays a vital frontline role in expanding Gift of Life’s registry by building partnerships, engaging communities, and coordinating recruitment drives. This position combines relationship-building, outreach, event execution, and mission-driven storytelling. Ideal candidates are outgoing, organized, self-motivated, and passionate about saving lives.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute donor recruitment drives at colleges, high schools, community groups, corporate offices, and special events.
Build and maintain relationships with campus leadership, student organizations, community partners, educators, and event hosts.
Deliver compelling presentations about Gift of Life’s mission, impact, and how individuals can get involved.
Train, support, and motivate volunteers, ambassadors, and student leaders (including CAP and Senior Swab participants).
Track recruitment metrics; ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and timely submission of swab kits and event data.
Collaborate with marketing and operations to support campaigns, promotions, and donor engagement initiatives.
Uphold Gift of Life’s quality standards, safety protocols, and compliance practices during all recruitment activities.
Represent Gift of Life professionally at events, meetings, conferences, and community programs.
Comfortable with travel and an occasional variable schedule that includes occasional evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in recruitment, outreach, community engagement, or event coordination.
Excellent communication and public-speaking skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Comfort with fast-paced environments, travel, and flexible scheduling (including some evenings/weekends).
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, CRM systems, and general technology tools.
Mission-driven and passionate about helping patients in need.
Energized by meeting new people and engaging diverse audiences.
Creative problem-solver who adapts quickly and takes initiative.
Team-oriented with a positive, service-minded attitude.
