What To Expect
The Manager, Commercial Credit Portfolio Management is responsible for leading a team of Credit Analysts, daily servicing, commercial credit lending authority, and managing risk and exposure for an assigned portfolio under Commercial Credit Department leadership. This role oversees annual reviews and renewals, and the ongoing account management process. It collaborates with the Field Sales team, Regional Operations Managers, and Directors to resolve underwriting issues.
What You Will Do Maintain periodic reviews and inspections of collateral, documentation, reporting, and financial statements to identify current and/or early detection of company risk. Manage assigned analyst work prior to submission to Director for review, including new requests, interim requests, and periodic reviews.
Interact frequently with the sales team (Business Development Managers, Regional Operations Managers, and Field Sales Directors) regarding issues identified during underwriting for annual and interim reviews. Directly engage dealer principals and dealership owners and staff to facilitate underwriting.
Apply commercial credit lending authority for new and interim requests, with lending approval authority up to $15 million for floorplan financing and up to $1 million for working capital loans. This authority represents approximately 20% of the Commercial portfolio.
Participate in assigned strategic projects and initiatives (including mobility, data, and digitalization) within the Commercial Credit Department.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.
What You Will Bring Minimum 5-7 years’ related experience in financial statements and dealer credit analysis
0-2 years supervisory or leading large projects
Exposure to the automotive business environment is highly recommended, particularly in commercial credit activities
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Proven commercial credit and risk identification/mitigation skills in analytically challenging environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to successfully manage, train, develop, and mentor direct reports
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to leadership
Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Work Environment
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, with vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in a home and office environment.
