Description
The Director, Health Analytics – Data Transformation & Solutions is a strategic leadership role within WTW Health Analytics, responsible for architecting and advancing the analytic infrastructure that powers WTW’s self-insured employer reporting and analytics solutions. This leader connects data strategy to business outcomes by owning data operations, guiding analytics product development, and managing key vendors and carrier partnerships. The role drives modernization of health and benefits data and analytics capabilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders on transformative client engagements and define the future of health and benefits analytics across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Operations
Lead end-to-end data and analytics operations, including oversight of data warehouses
Drive data initiatives that enhance our analytical capabilities and client deliverables
Oversee data warehouse implementations and solution design to meet evolving business requirements
Collaborate and contribute to WTW data platform initiatives, integration of curated data warehouse datasets with other data sources and shape the strategic roadmap for next-generation data and analytics capabilities
Carrier & Data Partner Engagement
Manage carrier data partnerships, including layout specifications, data-sharing agreements, and data integration requirements. Ensure all processes meet HIPAA and internal privacy, security, and data-usage policies
Oversee onboarding and standardization of traditional (Enrollment, Medical, Rx etc.,) and non-traditional data sources (e.g., wellness, point solutions, LTD/STD claims, engagement), including mapping, governance, and integration into actionable analytic datasets
Strategic Partnership & Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as the lead liaison between Health Analytics business and Technology teams, ensuring alignment on analytics product development and enterprise data platform initiatives
Partner with the Health Analytics Operations leader on operational excellence, financial management, contract negotiations, and vendor and carrier relationship management
Business Growth & Client Impact
Advance WTW's health and benefits business through innovative analytics solutions
Develop and strengthen client relationships through delivery of high-impact, forward-looking projects
Enable internal and external stakeholders through training, documentation, and product demonstrations to drive adoption and effective use.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of healthcare data and analytics alongside deep technical fluency in modern data architecture. Proficiency in the following areas will position the individual for success:
Profound understanding of healthcare claims data
Data warehouse principles (dimensional modeling, star schema design)
Foundational understanding of Data engineering and practices
Lakehouse architecture concepts and patterns (e.g., medallion architecture)
Foundational understanding of machine learning and AI concepts
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and SQL proficiency (preferred)
Requirements:
10+ years of working experience in health and benefits data analysis, ideally within a consulting firm, benefits consulting or brokerage firm, commercial data warehouse company, or data / analytics function with medical insurance providers
Deep knowledge of healthcare claims data
Master's degree preferred, with significant quantitative coursework
Strong analytical, creative, and integrative problem-solving skills
Proven ability to identify and resolve health data issues, data integration and data quality challenges
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing demands, and deliver quality outcomes on schedule
Experience providing regular status updates and working collaboratively with senior leadership
Desire and ability to mentor and develop junior staff
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organizational environment
Strong client service orientation with timely and effective responsiveness
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $170,000.00 - $200,000.00 USD annually.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
