Position Summary
The Inside Sales & Support Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer service by supporting the sales team, managing inbound inquiries, preparing quotes, and coordinating order fulfillment. This role ensures a seamless customer experience from first contact through post-sale support. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, technically curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial or OEM distribution environment. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound calls, emails, and chat inquiries. Qualify leads, understand customer needs, and route opportunities to the appropriate territory or product specialist. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and partners. Provide product information, availability details, and recommendations aligned with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) messaging. Support outbound sales campaigns when needed (follow-ups, distributor outreach, customer reactivation). Quoting & Order Management
Prepare and send accurate quotes for equipment, parts, accessories, and consumables. Apply appropriate discount structures and ensure margin targets are protected (generally >50%). Enter sales orders, coordinate with operations or service teams, and follow through until delivery. Track open orders, backorders, and shipping schedules; communicate updates proactively. Maintain accurate customer and order data in CRM/ERP (Microsoft 365, Business Central, or equivalent). Technical & Product Support
Assist customers with product selection based on application details and performance requirements. Support troubleshooting for basic technical issues and escalate complex matters to service or engineering. Help manage product documentation, FAQs, and internal knowledge bases. Maintain dashboards, reports, and activity logs for sales visibility and forecasting. Support price updates, product launches, and discontinuations. Assist with warranty registrations, service scheduling, RMA coordination, and customer follow-up. Participate in sales meetings and provide input on customer trends and competitive intelligence. Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account coordination, or related role. Experience in industrial equipment, manufacturing, engineering, or OEM distribution preferred. Strong communication skills—clear, professional, and customer-centric. Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems (Business Central or similar is a plus). Ability to read basic technical specifications or drawings (desired but not required). High attention to detail and comfort working with pricing structures, margins, and discounts. Strong organization and follow-through skills.
