Position
The Venue Sales Coordinator plays a critical role in driving revenue and client engagement for Skylight at The Refinery, serving as a front-line sales and client relationship while supporting events from inquiry through close-out.
This role is highly client-facing and sales-driven, responsible for managing inbound leads, guiding prospective clients through the booking process, coordinating site visits, and supporting the conversion of inquiries into contracted events.
This role reports into the Senior Venue Manager, and the role includes developing and managing relationships with event clients and Skylight’s operations and partner facility teams. This is an ideal role for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is energized by sales, hospitality, and experiential environments, and who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
Skills & Qualifications
1 - 2 years experience in event production, sales, hospitality, account management and/or property management
Aptitude for sales management and logistical planning
Ability to drive a project plan and work independently
Professional appearance
Professional command of written and verbal speech
Proactive and responsive attitude
Productive time management
Detail-oriented
Familiarity with Google platforms including Calendar, Drive, Docs, Presentations, Sheets and Mail
Flexible schedule which includes additional hours for onsite operations, including weekends, to reflect activity onsite.
General Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming sales inquiries via phone and email
Qualify leads, respond to inquiries promptly, and guide clients through the booking process
Maintain expert-level knowledge of The Refinery’s narrative, capabilities, policies, and pricing
Coordinate and host venue tours and site visits for prospective clients, vendors, and partners
Manage and update the Salesforce pipeline, including lead tracking, reporting, and forecasting
Prepare and maintain sales collateral, venue information, and client-facing materials
Support proposal development, date holds, and administrative coordination throughout the sales cycle
Build and nurture long-term relationships with repeat clients, planners, brands, and agencies
Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to identify new sales opportunities and improve conversion
Assist in the execution of Skylight’s event and programming calendar for The Refinery
Attend Skylight strategy meetings including team meetings, sales meetings, operations meetings, and post mortem reporting.

10AM – 7PM, Monday - Friday, Evenings and Weekends as dictated by event schedule Work Location:
The Refinery at Domino Pay Scale $65K - 70K, dependent on experience and qualifications Event pay for on site event work outside standard working hours at 1.5x Health and dental benefits insurance coverage.
