Appeals & Denials Specialist
will partner closely with the insurance follow-up team to resolve payer denials efficiently and accurately. You’ll focus heavily on clinical denials, leverage Epic daily and manage a consistent volume of appeals across government and commercial payers. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical and comfortable meeting productivity expectations. What’s the job?
Prepare, write and submit appeals and reconsiderations for denied claims Review denial reasons and payer policies to determine the best appeal strategy Handle clinical and medical necessity denials across Medicaid, Medicare and commercial payers Collaborate closely with the insurance follow-up team to drive denial resolution Meet daily productivity goals Utilize Epic to review accounts, documentation and claim status Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely appeal submissions What’s needed?
3+ years of experience working denials and appeals in a healthcare setting Proven experience writing appeal letters, including clinical and non-clinical appeals Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and commercial payer denial processes Epic experience is required Strong written communication skills and attention to detail What’s in it for me?
