Role Summary

The Senior Director, US Innovative Medicines Communications at Teva Pharmaceuticals leads the development and execution of integrated communication and public relations strategies for the branded / patented products of Teva’s US Commercial unit. S/he will drive reputational leadership of the company’s key growth drivers across neuroscience, immunology and rare disease, with a focus on patient experience and outcomes. Location: hybrid opportunity based out of Parsippany, NJ. Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic communication programming for internal and external stakeholders to drive forward the company’s strategy, promote Teva’s purpose, support the business, strengthen Teva’s reputation, and build employee pride. Actively engage and collaborate with business partners across the value chain to deliver breakthrough communications with precision and impact, amplifying Teva’s Pivot to Growth strategy to key stakeholders with emphasis on patient experience/outcomes. Be an engaging and empowering team leader who inspires high-performing, agile teams committed to high-quality standards and business impact. Lead cross-functional team and agency partners to create compelling, patient-centric, strategic branded and unbranded communications for disease education, new product launches, data and regulatory milestones, issues management, thought leadership, influencer and celebrity campaigns, enterprise and executive messaging, and more. Ensure product messaging maintains a central focus on patient experience, reflecting respect and compassion for people living with the medical conditions Teva treats by engaging with patient communities. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing counsel on communication issues, brand management and stakeholder engagement. Ensure strategic alignment of communications planning, brand management and resource allocation through engagement with US IM leadership teams and collaboration with Global Corporate Affairs. Forge and maintain positive partnerships with communication counterparts at third-party companies on partnered project communications. Ensure all communications comply with regulatory requirements and reflect respect, compassion and scientific integrity. Monitor and analyze communication performance metrics to assess effectiveness and refine strategies. Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in communications/writing/journalism/marketing or a life sciences discipline; advanced degree in communications or life sciences a plus. A minimum of 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical communications, PR, corporate affairs or marketing. Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing PR strategies for complex, highly regulated products. Skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information for a general audience. Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms to create content for various channels. Strong leadership skills with the ability to gain followership across multi-functional teams. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment. Ability to engage and collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups, including senior leaders, media, patients and advocates, clinicians, doctors, scientists and celebrities. Education

A bachelor’s degree in communications/writing/journalism/marketing or a life sciences discipline; advanced degree in communications or life sciences a plus. Additional Requirements

Travel: International and domestic travel up to 20% of the time. Physical requirements: Sitting for extended periods; using fingers for typing. Visual acuity: Close visual acuity for computer work and data analysis. Working environment: Office-based work.
