About The Role Director Of Production & Product Development The Director of Production & Product Development leads the strategy, planning, and execution of new product creation and ongoing production operations for Chloraking located in Atlanta, GA. This role ensures that products meet market needs, quality standards, cost targets, and delivery timelines. It requires close collaboration with design, engineering, sourcing, marketing, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities Product Development Leadership

Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle—from ideation, research, and prototyping to testing and commercialization.

Translate market trends, customer insights, and competitive analysis into product roadmaps.

Oversee cross‑functional teams (design, engineering, R&D, marketing) to ensure alignment with business goals.

Approve product specifications, materials, and design direction.

Ensure products meet regulatory, safety, and compliance standards.

Production & Operations Management

Lead production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.

Oversee manufacturing operations (internal or outsourced), ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost control.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).

Manage vendor relationships, sourcing strategies, and supply chain performance.

Ensure on‑time delivery and resolve production bottlenecks.

Strategic & Financial Oversight

Develop annual budgets for production and product development.

Monitor KPIs such as cost of goods sold (COGS), yield, throughput, and product performance.

Evaluate ROI for new product initiatives and manage product lifecycle profitability.

Support long‑term business planning and innovation strategy.

Team Leadership

Build, mentor, and manage high‑performing production and product development teams.

Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.

Collaborate with executive leadership to align product and production strategies with company objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).

4–8+ years of experience in product development, production, or project management.

Experience with domestic and international manufacturing environments.

Experience with chlorine generation, chlorine generator equipment, chlor‑alkali industry or similar background would be preferable.
