Hyatt seeks a Finance Business Partner who embraces agile principles and cross-function collaboration to implement strategic financial strategies aligned with business objectives. This role reports to the General Manager and guides strategic decision making and financial planning to drive the hotel’s achievements and profitability. The role involves nurturing curiosity, building connections across the organization with stakeholders, colleagues, and guests. The resort is set to deliver a topline revenue budget of $115M in 2026, supporting 6 Food and Beverage Outlets, Rooms Service, Banquets, and a beach concession, plus a full-service spa. The Director of Finance oversees all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to financial regulations and standards. The DOF plans, organizes, directs, and controls the financial and control functions of the division, reports operational results, and provides financial support to hotel management. Core competencies include: Prepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review, and analyze variance explanations with department managers; identify areas for improvement and execute corrective actions as needed. Manage and lead hotel on- and off-site accounting functions for proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting, and analysis. Additional responsibilities include: Responsible for budget, hotel financials, month-end close, accounting, cash management, and capital planning and management of nearly $4.3M in capital projects for FY2026. Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with objectives. Complete the year-end process, review and approve reconciliations and audit work papers, coordinate with external auditors, respond to auditor requests, approve adjustments, reconcile audited reports, and approve the audit. Internal Controls & Risk: Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, maintain sound internal controls and segregation of duties. Manage SOX Compliance. Monitor industry trends, local legislative changes, and organizational behavior to inform sound business decisions. Operational Leadership: Mentor and coach the finance team, providing direction, training, and performance feedback to nurture professional growth. Support the development of future leaders in all areas of the hotel. Empower employees with financial insights. Supervise the Information Technology and Procurement function; understand hotel operations and back-office functions. Cultivate an environment receptive to change. Business Partner: Collaborate with management to implement strategic initiatives for cost efficiency and revenue enhancements while preserving core values and relationships. • 6 years or more of finance career progression; hospitality, retail, or related industry preferred. • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred. • Demonstrated ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds. • Demonstrated history of success; results-driven, energetic, and focused. • Service-oriented with professional presentation skills. • Hotel/hospitality degree an asset. • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to improve the bottom line. • Clear written and verbal English communication; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
