271371Las Vegas, Nevada**The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International****THE JOB:**The Senior Catering Manager will assist in overseeing daily catering operations, focusing on strategic planning, staff development, and the implementation of standard operating procedures. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth by managing high-profile clients, coordinating event details, and ensuring exceptional service standards are met throughout the catering process.**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Directly responsible for highest revenue and profile convention clients with food and beverage revenue, working directly with high profile clients on menu planning, set up, décor budgets and billing details pertinent to the success of their program.* Assist Director with achieving annual budget and monthly forecasting goals through input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of proposed new products, services, technology and processes, annual competitor menu cost comparison analysis, implementing of wedding and social marketing strategies to target off peak catering dates, and forecast reporting.* Engages in sales strategy to maximize revenue and mitigate risk through effectively reviewing the availability of space and implements marketing strategies to target off peak dates, the negotiation and monitoring of definite contracts, the writing of catering discount clauses, and cultivation of client relationships.* Direct and oversee daily activities of Catering team in handling and executing events, directing and coaching staff on performance and follow‐up with corrections and praise when applicable.* Hold team and self-accountable for adherence to property guest service and brand standards by refining service standards and modeling professional and modeling internal and external guest interactions.* Assist Director in establishing, implementing and enforcing Catering departmental policies and procedures.* Takes responsibility for the division’s Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, staffing level evaluation, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment.**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** Bachelor's Degree preferred* 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in Catering, Convention, and/or Banquet required* Prior experience in a similar a similar luxury resort setting preferred**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally* Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more* Free meals in our employee dining room* Free parking on and off shift* Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community**VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION:**Are you ready to **JOIN THE SHOW**At MGM Resorts, we exist to entertain the human race and provide an unforgettable escape.
