
Underwriting Support Associate Account Manager

Overview
IAT Insurance Group has openings for Underwriting Support Associate Account Managers in multiple offices. The specific title for this role (e.g., Associate, Senior, etc.) will be commensurate with the experience level of the selected candidate.
Locations: Raleigh, NC; Alpharetta, GA; Sarasota, FL; Scottsdale, AZ. The job requires day-to-day customer service and support to underwriters and acting as a liaison between the organization and agents. The ideal candidate will have experience using computer, organizational and professional written and verbal communication skills to assemble policies and meet deadlines. IAT operates on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities
Enters schedules into proprietary rating systems.
Establishes and maintains good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
Prepares account service-related documents such as proposals and other client communications and correspondence.
Assists in renewal process, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.
Documents new business declines and non-renewals.
Summarizes loss runs.
Reviews all company correspondence to ensure applicability to client needs.
Answers and processes internal information requests.
Reviews Policies, Endorsements, and Reporters for accuracy and compliance.
Follows up with agencies on policy subjectivities and other missing underwriting information.
Ensures all required documentation and communication is sorted and filed for ease of access.
Retrieves loss cost reports and other property rating reports as needed for Underwriter.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Must Have:
High School graduate or equivalent (Associates degree is preferred).
Equivalent is defined as having 2 years of relevant insurance experience.
Knowledge of basic mathematics and problem-solving techniques.
Mastery level PC and keyboarding skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
Must be detail and action oriented.
Ability to work in fast-paced and deadline-driven production environment.
Ability to organize, set and maintain priorities.
Ability to adapt to change.
