Marketing Specialist at Shiel Sexton
is a position within Shiel Sexton’s collaborative marketing team. The role blends creative execution with thoughtful communication, supporting the development of polished, compelling materials that help position the firm for success in competitive pursuits. As a valued contributor within our marketing group, you’ll produce visually engaging proposals and collateral that reflect the quality and craftsmanship our clients expect. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both design and organization, excels at turning ideas into clear and attractive deliverables, and thrives in a team‑oriented environment. Role Responsibilities And Competencies
Proposal and Pursuit Support Develop polished proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations for RFQs and RFPs. Apply strong layout and visual design to present technical content clearly and professionally. Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to create effective graphics and layouts. Marketing Content, Visual Identity and Graphic Design Produce project sheets, brochures, presentations, award submissions, and event materials with an emphasis on clarity, consistency, and brand alignment. Support content development by integrating concise writing with thoughtful design. Create graphics, icons, diagrams, and image treatments that reinforce the firm’s visual brand. Work within established guidelines while contributing creative solutions to continuously elevate brand standards. Collaboration, Organization and Asset Management Partner with marketing colleagues, project teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure materials meet project needs and brand standards. Work with marketing team to maintain organized digital libraries of project photography, profiles, resumes, templates, and branded assets. Assist with updates to CRM or pipeline management platforms as needed. Qualifications
2 to 4 years of design focused marketing experience, ideally in the AEC industry. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign; working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience producing proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral from concept through completion. Strong writing and editing skills that complement design work. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management. Proven capacity to perform effectively in fast‑paced environments with competing timelines. A collaborative mindset and commitment to a supportive, team‑oriented environment. Experience with CRM or pipeline management systems such as Unanet or Salesforce a plus.
