JR101847# **Title:**Proposal Director# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Proposal Director will be responsible for leading and managing the proposal development process and proposal team members. This role involves strategic development of winning themes and key differentiators to best position SBM as the industry provider of choice. In this role, you will support the business development strategies and work closely with other key executive stakeholders including marketing, finance, and senior operational leadership.**Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Other duties may be assigned.* Manage and regularly update SBM content library* Provide direction and hands-on management of proposal team members* Proactively identify opportunities to develop new content including but not limited to, supporting graphics, responses, case studies, testimonials, and more* Identify efficiencies through technology or templatized materials* Provide ongoing updates to proposal process documents and process communication requirements* Manage the proposal process to include content design, development and review.* Review and analyze draft and final RFPs and related documents, as well as develop compliant proposal outline and responses* Develop detailed proposal schedule and ensure adherence to all deadlines* Prepare all supporting proposal development documentation (outline, page allocation, team assignments, proposal management plan, schedule, kick-off meeting materials, writing templates, data calls)* Ensure configuration control of all proposal files, forms, graphics, drafts, reviewer comments and approvals* Participate in the development and review of proposal strategies and themes, as well as develop a Proposal Management Plan* Ensure high-quality content and appearance of the final proposal product and the on-time delivery of the proposal* Ensure effective and comprehensive proposal readiness, including executing pre-proposal efforts that effectively transition to the win strategy efforts* Collaborate with key stakeholders and executive leadership to gain an appropriate understanding of the win strategy and to ensure the response clearly conveys the proper business perspective, key messages, value proposition, and differentiators against our competition* Contribute to new service and product development planning and management* Understanding company service offerings, experience, and capabilities* Assist with other duties as assigned**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.**Education and/ or Experience:** 5 years of experience in business development or proposal management. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from an accredited institution. (Five (5) years of additional experience will suffice in lieu of degree.)**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:** May require a valid driver’s license**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**Must possess demonstrated proposal writing experienceMust be able to work cooperatively and effectively with key stakeholders to produce compliant, compelling, competitive, and winning proposal sections in a highly demanding and dynamic work environmentMust possess great communications skillsExcellent organizational and leadership abilities**Supervisory Responsibilities**This job has supervisory responsibilities of additional proposal management team members.**Physical Demands & Work Environment**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
