This is a
Manager of Payer Relations and Field Reimbursement
role in the Eastern US. The individual will be responsible for the identification, development, and management of strategic relationships with payers and organizations that influence payer decision-making within their assigned geographic region. The person will work directly with the broader Neuros Medical team including the market access, commercial, patient access, and billingsupport teams within their respective regions and will serve as a resource for identification and resolution of payer-related issues. This person will also interact within a broader Market Access team and ultimately be responsible for implementation of the tactical plan developed by the market access leadership team. In addition, this position will provide critical competitive intelligence within the marketaccess marketplace to leadership. The goal of the position is to minimizepatient access barriers to Neuros Medical products, to achieve favorablecoverage and reimbursement policies with payers, and to supportcommercial adoption with potential and current customers. Responsibilities
Work with commercial team to educate potential customers on reimbursement for Neuros Medical products, including coding for all aspects of the procedure, coverage policies and nuances, and payment rates Develop and refine economic models that explain revenue customers can expect from Neuros Medical procedures Work collaboratively with commercial team to answer customer questions and develop solutions related to Market Access for Neuros Medical products Support commercialization strategy with regional sales teams and participate actively in the preparation and execution of regional field sales plans Serve as primary point of contact for assigned private payers Develop private and public health plan engagement strategies in collaboration with market access leadership, patient access, and the commercial team Refine supporting materials from HQ for physician advocacy use with regional payers Develop key opinion leaders (KOLs) to partner with and advocate for positive medical policy development for Neuros Medical products Run advocacy campaigns with private and public health plans to develop positive policies for Neuros Medical products and reduce barriers to care (i.e., letter campaigns, phone calls, presentations at open meetings, appeal letters) Lead discussions with relevant payers to reach positive coverage determinations and optimize contract terms for payment Maintain current knowledge of applicable third-party reimbursement rules and regulations Support the Market Access and commercial teams in determining regional payer account strategy and tactics Develop the agenda for and run a payer advisory board to learn how health plans may respond to available data on Neuros Medical products Establish critical relationships with a variety of stakeholders within their geography: health plan medical directors, select practice administrators, key opinion leaders Responsible and accountable for the successful implementation within their territories of the strategic and tactical reimbursement plan for the Market Access team May represent company at trade shows, scientific sessions, or other meetings What You’ll Need
Minimum 5+ years of health care/managed care and reimbursement industry experience BS required. MBA or advanced degree preferred Experience closing commercial payers for coverage decisions and negotiating contracted rates for the medical device or diagnostics industry (hospital contracting experience a plus) Understand the global payer and reimbursement environment, specifically as it relates to the neurostimulator market in the U.S. Must have a solid understanding of coverage, coding, payment, and reimbursement requirements and policies Understanding of key private payer policy infrastructure, payment methodologies, coding and coverage trends Experience developing physician advocates who will testify as to the clinical utility of Neuros Medical products Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a collaborative and constructive manner Experience working in the field and supporting reimbursement needs of commercial team members Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with presentation development Perks of the Job
Compensation: Base Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 Bonus: 20% Total Income: $180,000 - $240,000 Meaningful equity package Benefits
