We’re seeking a strategic, mission-driven Human Resources Business Partner who is passionate about creating workplaces where people thrive. This isn’t your typical HR role— it’s an opportunity to be both an employee champion and a change agent, partnering directly with program leaders to align our culture and business objectives while leading a team of two HR Generalists. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, helping us operationalize our mission while ensuring every team member feels supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work. You’ll be a trusted advisor to people leaders, a coach to your team, and a champion for equity and belonging in all people practices. What You'll Do

Lead with Heart and Strategy

Partner with the Vice President of People and Culture to bring our strategic plan to life Lead and develop a team of HR Generalists, inspiring them to deliver exceptional HR service Partner and consult with assigned programs to help them achieve operational and strategic success

Create Exceptional Employee Experiences

Co-create high-quality employee experiences with team members at all levels Build relationships that improve work life, morale, productivity, and retention Champion belonging in every interaction

Drive Performance and Growth

Coach people leaders through performance management, talent development, and career planning Analyze trends and metrics to develop data-informed solutions that improve retention, engagement, and belonging Guide workforce planning and succession planning

Navigate Complex Employee Relations

Manage and resolve complex employee and labor relations matters with fairness and empathy Conduct thorough, objective investigations and grievance hearings Ensure we honor our commitments under the collective bargaining agreement

Be a Trusted Consultant

Provide expert guidance on HR policy, compliance, and employment law Partner with legal counsel to reduce risk while maintaining our human-centered approach Support organizational communication and change management initiatives

What We're Looking For

Your Background

5-7 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated leadership and consultancy Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master\'s preferred) Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred Experience with labor relations and collective bargaining agreements preferred Experience leading and developing HR team members Who You Are
