Senior Sales System Engineer. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Responsibilities
Provide pre-sales technical consultation in the design, engineering, sale, and implementation of sophisticated products, applications, and solutions.
Partner with sales teams, strategic and industry partners to assess potential applications of our products and ensure optimum systems solutions for new and existing customers.
Apply processes, tools, and techniques for responding to customer proposals (RFP, RFQ, RFI) and create viable proposals that grow the business in a driven sales environment.
Develop and consult on architecture designs, engineering bill of materials, and implementation specifications for next-generation networks and solutions.
Engage and influence customer technology strategies by showcasing Juniper technologies during technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, proof of concept, and trial engagements.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customer IT decision-makers and the partner community.
Deliver training and support to industry partners and customer engineers.
Continuously learn and stay ahead of the industry, competitive solutions, products, and services.
Leverage exposure to the latest technological innovations to address real-world customer challenges and support personal career growth.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 9 years’ experience in a technical/pre-sales role as a Sales or Systems Engineer.
Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in designing/engineering/consulting on LAN/WAN, Campus, Data Center, Security, and Cloud technology solutions.
Extensive experience implementing and operating campus and branch networks with enterprise Networking and Security solutions.
Extensive experience and depth of knowledge around the Juniper product line, competitors’ products, solutions, and vertical market use cases.
Hands-on experience with networking technologies across routing, switching, and security in a pre-sales, operational, or engineering context.
Strong interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills with experience in customer-facing sales activities and Exec/C-level engagements.
Ability to learn quickly and apply skills to new protocols and applications for customers.
Deep understanding of Routing Protocols (IGPs, EGPs, Layer-2/3 VPNs).
Experience in data center network design (EVPN/VXLAN, Clos architectures, underlay fabric).
Experience in MPLS and WAN network design (LDP, RSVP, SR-TE, SRv6).
Experience with network security (NGFW, UTM, DDoS, IPSec, MACSec, SIEM).
Experience with management solutions such as Paragon, MIST, Apstra or equivalent; experience with Juniper or other vendors is advantageous.
What we would love you to have
Experience in emerging technology areas including Virtualization, VMWare, OpenStack, VNF, and Container solutions.
DevOps automation experience using Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, YANG, JSON, Netconf.
Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure.
Certifications such as JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are desirable.
