The Sunriver Owners Association (SROA) operates a myriad of year-round and seasonal recreational amenities, including SHARC aquatics and a member pool, boat launch and tennis/pickleball facilities – all which require dozens of part-time and/or seasonal staff – especially during peak summer months between Memorial weekend and Labor Day.
SROA also has full-time staff in a variety of departments to provide services to Sunriver property owners and visitors.
IT Director

SROA is in search of an individual with exemplary vision, creativity, and leadership skills to become our next IT Director.
This position oversees all IT functions of the organization, provides leadership to the IT team, and works closely with other SROA departments, Board task force and committee members and outside partners to create and implement IT policies and systems to meet SROA’s needs and objectives, especially as they evolve over time - all with the Deschutes river and miles of pathways just outside the office.

Strategy & Planning
- Developing IT Strategy: Crafting a long-term vision for the company's technology needs and proposed solutions.
- Aligning IT with Strategic Goals: Assesses and develops long-term strategic goals in alignment with and to implement SROA’s IT Strategic Plan.
- Research & Development: Staying abreast of new technology trends and evaluating their potential impact on the business.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Preparing and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- GIS Integration into IT Strategy: Integrating GIS needs and capabilities into the overall IT strategy and planning.
- GIS-Driven Business Solutions: Exploring how GIS technology can support and enhance business goals and decision-making processes.
Operational Management
- Team Leadership: Leading and managing the IT & GIS department, including hiring, training, and professional development.
- Infrastructure Oversight: Ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure, Network and services in both an on-premises and cloud-based environment (HyperV, Azure).
- Security: Oversees security of systems, networks, databases, enterprise information and staff training. Facilitates Security vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
- Business Continuity: Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Policy Formulation: Developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- IT Security: Overseeing cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems.
- GIS Infrastructure Management: Ensuring the robustness, security, and efficiency of the GIS platforms and data.
- GIS Policy and Standards: Developing policies and standards specific to GIS to ensure data accuracy, privacy, and appropriate use.
Project Management
- Project Planning and Execution: Managing IT projects, from conception through to completion.
- Resource Allocation: Ensuring that projects have the necessary resources, including personnel and technology.
- Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with IT projects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Keeping stakeholders informed about project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that IT projects meet quality standards and business requirements.
- GIS Projects Oversight: Managing GIS-specific projects, including data collection, analysis, and application development.
- Cross-Departmental GIS Collaboration: Facilitating collaboration between the GIS team and other departments to maximize the utility of GIS data and tools across the organization.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or other related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Proof of continued education, such as software certifications, preferred. At least eight years of IT experience with three years of progressive management experience in an IT environment.
Benefits
Starting Wage Range: $102,000 - $107,00 per year.

EOE. Valid Oregon Driver's License with driving record acceptable to SROA insurer, background check, and pre-employment drug screening required.
