Assistant Community Director | Tierra Pointe (Casa Grande, AZ) American Property Management, founded in 1987, is a leader in multi‑family community management. With 5,500+ units under management, we use modern technology and AI tools to automate routine work and focus on high‑impact, human problem‑solving.

Position Overview

Schedule – Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Flexibility to work additional hours may be required.

On‑Site Requirement – Physical presence at the job location during scheduled hours. Must be able to reliably commute or be planning to relocate before starting work. Current residents of the property are not eligible.

Property – 236‑unit garden style apartment community built in 2008.

Compensation Package

Pay Range $23 to $23.50 / Hour *

Monthly leasing bonuses.

Paid sick leave accrual equivalent to 1.33 hours for every 30 hours worked (~11 days per year).

Paid vacation starting at two weeks and increasing with tenure.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of property management experience with 1+ year as an assistant, or 3+ years of leasing/property management experience within the last 10 years required.

Experience working at Class A and/or Class B communities.

Well‑versed in Federal Fair Housing Laws, landlord‑tenant laws, and ADA laws.

Customer service experience required.

Onesite and/or Knock experience preferred.

High School Diploma/GED required.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.

Positive outlook and collaborative team approach.

Responsibility and pride in work.

Fluent in English, strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Your Role

Connecting with prospects via email, phone, and appointments; conducting virtual and/or in‑person unit tours.

Assisting colleagues in helping residents, building rapport, and making the community feel like home.

Addressing problems between residents and facilitating healthy resident relations.

Researching and forecasting market trends; preparing for upcoming trends and brainstorming new ideas to keep the community thriving.

Contributing to property operations by preparing reports for the Community Director.

Organizing resident events and ensuring they meet APM’s Quality Standards.

Managing the leasing and renewal process by handling transactions, taking appropriate information, and keeping records organized and accurate.
