Overview

Our client, a growing financial firm, is adding to their support team on the Derivatives desk. This role supports a cross-asset portfolio management platform. The application is a suite of .NET applications that feeds the bank's systems. Responsibilities

As a member of the Application Support team, diagnose and resolve technical problems with applications used in Capital Markets and supporting complex derivatives platforms. Escalate issues to internal developers, external vendors, or the infrastructure team and provide timely updates to affected traders and technology managers. Gather business requirements for trading a new product and liaise with the business analyst and project management teams. Act as an advocate for the front office and apply ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management. Qualifications

Strong technical skills and an interest in capital markets; ability to work in a fast-paced trade floor environment. Expertise supporting complex derivatives platforms and hands-on experience with derivatives. Proven ability to support technology solutions across asset classes and familiarity with the full lifecycle of a derivative trade. Advanced experience with market data systems (e.g., Bloomberg) and other industry-standard data sources. Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#; broad technical knowledge of Windows or Linux; high-level understanding of computer infrastructure. Experience with SQL and/or MongoDB. Experience with ITIL and change management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and software testing/issue management using JIRA. Experience with an application monitoring tool (e.g., Dynatrace). Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or finance required. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation is a plus.
